If you really want equality, then you need to be fair to both sides of the fence. Enough with bashing religion, but calling yourself open minded, especially when you sit there saying religious people are hypocritical. Pot, meet kettle. As a Christian, I see no problem with people not believing in God, but it seems that more and more people have a problem with my beliefs. You hear more about cases where Christians are not allowed to have nativity scenes (or religious stuff in general) outside their houses, because it “offends someone and it steps on their rights by being forced to look at it”. Nevermind that it infringes on our rights by being forced to take it down. (There are more cases but none come to mind right now).
I live in America, and this country was founded on Christian ideals. Without those ideals, we wouldn’t be where we are now. Remember, it’s freedom OF religion, not freedom FROM religion. That means we are free to choose what to believe, or what not to believe. I don’t choose your beliefs, please don’t choose mine.
Respect gets respect.
Anon please, I don’t feel like getting hate over my opinion.
